Exhibited AA-Cargo at the Electric Vehicle Show in Indonesia

Collaboration with local electric bus manufacturer MAB to promote electrification of the world’s third-largest motorcycle market.

aidea Co., Ltd. (Minato-ku, Tokyo; President & CEO: Motohide Ikeda) will exhibit AA-Cargo at the PERIKLINDO Electric Vehicle Show, an EV exhibition to be held in the Indonesian capital Jakarta from May 17 to 21, 2023. The show is organized by PERIKLIND, an electric vehicle industry association established by companies involved in the electric vehicle sector, and is being held for the second time following 2022. 75,000 visitors and 782,000 imps online access are targeted for the five-day event.

aidea will be exhibiting electric motorcycles at the booth of PT Mobil Anak Bangsa (MAB), an importer in Indonesia. MAB is a local electric bus manufacturer founded by Dr. Moeldoko and Stephen K. Sulistyo in 2017. Through the joint development of new electric motorcycles, We will promote the electrification of Indonesia together, the world’s third-largest motorcycle market, and contribute to the realization of a decarbonized society.

The vehicle on display is the DHL branded AA-Cargo, which has been used by DHL Japan, Inc. (Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo; President & Representative Director, Tony Khan) since 2021, as part of DHL Japan’s efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and to respond to the increasing demand for smaller lots and more frequent shipments associated with the growing cross-border EC. Electric three-wheeled bikes are mainly deployed in urban areas of Tokyo and Osaka. In areas where it is difficult for four-wheeled vans to enter narrow alleys or park, the compactness of the motorcycles’ mobility also helps to improve delivery efficiency.

Visitors can also test ride AA-Cargo at the TEST RIDE corner in the venue. In Indonesia, where motorcycles play a very important role as a means of public transportation, we aim to further promote and popularize electric motorcycles by allowing many riders to experience their benefits.
